The Annual Summer Chicken Barbeque was held on July 3rd at our church center. More than 225 dinners were sold .

ARIEL KRAVETSKY AWARDED 2010 SCHOLARSHIP - 06/20/10
Ariel Kravetsky, Uniondale, was awarded the 2010 Scholarship from the Scholarship Committee. She will attend Penn State Hazleton Campus this Fall. Julianna Soroka observed her 18th Birthday and celebrated it with a parishioners following the Divine Liturgy.

Seven newly regilded candlesticks were blessed today and given in memory of Edward Brzuchalsky by his loving wife Eileen and family. May Ed's memory be eternal!

100th Anniversary Celebration - 11/07/09
On Saturday, November 7, 2009, the 100th Anniversary of the beginnings of the church was celebrated at St. Michael's Orthodox Church in Jermyn. His Grace, Bishop Tikhon was the main celebrant along with 18 other members of the clergy. The Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was followed by a Grand Banquet at Heart Lake Lodge. It was a truly prayerful, inspiring, and wonderful day to mark this special event.

The yearly Eve of Theophany Holy Supper was held following Complines in the church hall. The supper had 22 different kinds of Lenten Foods prepared by Protodeacon Gabriel and his chefs. There were 58 in attendance and everyone enjoyed the evening.

Infant Demetrius Getzie was Baptized and Church School children participated by processing into the church each carrying an Icon and Blessed by Father John . A Lenten Meal was served following Divine Liturgy through the generosity of Joseph and Marci Getzie.

St Michael's hosted the Lenten Mission which was served by the Clergy of our Deanery. A Lenten meal followed the service at St Michael's Center which was prepared by Protodeacon Gabriel Petorak and his helpers.

His Grace, Rt Rev Tikhon came to serve the Divine Liturgy with Archpriest John Kowalczyk and Archpriest Daniel Gyza. They were assisted by Protodeacon Gabriel Petorak and Sub-Deacon Abraham and Reader Vasily Dubee Jr. Vladyka gave a very inspiring homily and visited with parishioners following the Liturgy in the church parlors. He also presented a Diocesan Gramota to Sub-Deacon Vasily Gardecki for his many years as church webmaster and sponosring the website.
